Social Support

Morning tea

The Social Support Program provides assistance in a range of services. These include friendly home visits, social functions, day trips and outings plus helping with referrals to other services when required.

Monthly calendars and itineraries are posted to our clients each month, or click here to make your booking. The calendars help clients to plan which bus trips or outings they want to attend.

Group social functions are held on a regular basis and include entertainers, themed events such as Christmas in July, a carnival based around the Ekka, a Melbourne Cup luncheon and a Christmas party.

Volunteer visiting

The Social Support Program provides an in-home visiting program for clients who are house-bound or who don’t feel comfortable in a group setting. Clients and volunteers are matched according to their interests and visits take place on a weekly needs basis. Short outings such as morning tea at a coffee shop, a visit to the library, movies or a local park can be arranged in the customer’s local area.
