Tourists with disability and mobility challenges can now explore Far North Queensland more easily, following TransitCare’s first Accessible Tourism transport service.
Cairns driver Russell recently supported three tourists – Chris, Zane and Kylie – on a full-day accessible trip to the Daintree Rainforest. Organised by Supported Travel eXperiences (STX), the journey included stops at Palm Cove and Port Douglas, with each stop planned to ensure wheelchair access and comfort along the way.
For the visitors from Western Australia, the chance to experience the unique meeting point of the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef, capped off with a visit to the Daintree Ice Cream Company, made for an unforgettable day.
TransitCare is proud to extend its trusted, inclusive transport to tourists as well as locals and invites anyone needing accessible travel in Queensland to get in touch.
