TransitCare’s most recent Social Support outings show strong demand from clients wanting safe, social days out – with numbers more than doubling on some trips.
One group enjoyed a coastal drive to Kingscliff, took in the views and sea air at Point Danger, fitted in some shopping and shared a relaxed lunch at Cudgen Surf Club, where they even spotted whales off the coast. Attendance for this outing grew from the usual 12 to 26 participants, with many new faces coming along.
The Men on the Move group also headed to RAAF Amberley, with the visit receiving excellent feedback and attendance more than doubling. These results highlight how important reliable transport and well-planned activities are for older people who want to stay active, connected and engaged.
Be sure to reach out to us if you or someone you know would like to join in on our next outing!
