Transport Equity Summit
Brisbane | 30 October 2026

TransitCare is proud to host the inaugural Transport Equity Summit.

The Summit will bring together the people who have the knowledge, the resources and the drive to solve transport disadvantage.

The Transport Equity Summit will bring together experts in transport, technology, infrastructure, research, community services and lived experience to focus on one shared goal – that every person, regardless of ability, can complete every journey with confidence by 2032 and beyond.

Every Person. Every Journey.

Join the Summit to make sure your voice is heard.

This event will bring together the leaders and experts who have the knowledge, the resources and the drive to deliver transport equity for Brisbane as a powerful legacy of the 2032 Games.

Make sure your voice is heard by the planners, designers and developers who will deliver the infrastructure, systems and customer experience for the Games.

This is not another conference about accessibility, transport or Brisbane 2032. It is an interactive event using expert speakers and facilitated Journey Design Labs to define and co-design an action plan based on evidence and lived experience.

Pre-event surveys, academic-led research principles, lived experience and interactive technology will ensure every delegate can contributes to the discussion before and during the Summit.

Every person. Every journey.

Keynote speakers at the Summit will deliver powerful stories of lived experience, and outline the research around transport disadvantage.

Journey Design Labs set to develop solutions

The Journey Design Labs are the centrepiece of the Transport Equity Summit.

Rather than passively listening to presentations throughout the day, delegates will join interactive design labs to work alongside decision makers to solve real transport challenges.

Each Design Lab will focus on a specific journey or transport challenge identified as critical to achieving transport equity:

  • Every Journey Can Be Planned
  • Every Person Can Find Their Way
  • Every Place Is Connected
  • Every Transport Mode Works Together

Facilitated by subject matter experts, each Design Lab will explore three fundamental questions:

  • What barriers exist today?
  • What needs to change by Brisbane 2032?
  • What practical actions, partnerships and innovations will make this possible?
